Entity

« Entity » explores the tension between the ephemerality of humanity and the permanence of certain forms of life. The astronaut, representing humanity in its quest for understanding and evolution, is surrounded by jellyfish, creatures that have not evolved for millions of years. This contrast highlights the brevity of human existence compared to the immutability of nature, raising questions about our relationship to time and the universe.

The work questions our place in a vast and eternal cosmos, and our relentless search for meaning in a constantly evolving world. The astronaut’s tentacles, extending into infinity, symbolize the human desire to connect with greater forces, while also highlighting our vulnerability in this endless universe.

Through the immutability of the jellyfish and the human agitation symbolized by the astronaut, « Entity » invites reflection on temporality, the fragility of our existence, and our relationship with eternity. The viewer is encouraged to consider how we, as individuals and as a society, fit into a larger cycle, often beyond our control, and how time is for us both an inevitable force and a factor of transformation.
