For Le Grand Feu, a stage piece with Mochélan and Rémon Jr, I created with Paul Mattei hand-drawn animations projected onto a transparent tulle screen in front of the stage.

More than just visuals, these animations highlight key moments and details throughout the show .

The piece isn’t just a tribute for the 40th anniversary of Brel’s passing; it’s a true encounter with the artist, his words, and his universe. On stage, Mochélan and Rémon Jr bring new life to his lesser-known texts, weaving music and theatre into an intimate, heartfelt dialogue.

The animations help illustrate « their » Brel  fragile, adventurous, universal, adding a poetic layer to each scene without ever overshadowing the performance.
